...DISCUSSION...

BROAD UPPER TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE THE ERN HALF OF THE
COUNTRY TUESDAY. SHORTWAVE TROUGH THAT WILL AFFECT THE FL PENINSULA
MONDAY WILL CONTINUE NE OFF THE CAROLINA COASTS INDUCING A SURFACE
CYCLONE THAT WILL LIFT NWD ALONG THE MID ATLANTIC AND NEW ENGLAND
SEABOARD. CONVECTION INCLUDING A FEW THUNDERSTORMS COULD AFFECT THE
COAST OF NC EARLY TUESDAY...BUT MOST OF THE ACTIVITY SHOULD REMAIN
OFFSHORE. UPPER JET STREAK IS FORECAST TO DROP SEWD INTO THE BASE OF
TROUGH OVER THE SERN STATES. BUT WAVELENGTH BETWEEN THIS FEATURE AND
EXITING IMPULSE WILL BE TOO SHORT FOR ANY SUBSTANTIAL MOISTURE
RETURN...AND SEVERE WEATHER PROSPECTS SHOULD REMAIN LOW.
