CURRENTLY OVER THE DESERT SW EJECTS NEWD THROUGH THE CNTRL ROCKIES
AND PLAINS DURING THE DAY. ATTENDANT LEE LOW WILL DEEPEN OVER THE
NRN PLAINS WITH TRAILING PACIFIC COLD FRONT ADVANCING EWD THROUGH
NRN AND CNTRL PLAINS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

...CNTRL ROCKIES AND PLAINS REGION...

OWING TO RECENT INTRUSION OF CP AIR INTO THE GULF...INSUFFICIENT
TIME WILL EXIST TO ALLOW DEVELOPING LEE LOW TO ADVECT APPRECIABLE
BOUNDARY LAYER MOISTURE INTO THE CNTRL PLAINS. DESPITE THE SCANT
MOISTURE...A ZONE OF WEAK INSTABILITY MAY DEVELOP AS FORCING FOR
ASCENT ATTENDING THE VORT MAX ACTS ON AN ENVIRONMENT CHARACTERIZED
BY STEEP MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES. SCATTERED CONVECTION MAY DEVELOP IN
ASSOCIATION WITHIN THIS BAND OF ASCENT. HOWEVER...LIGHTNING STRIKES
SHOULD REMAIN ISOLATED DUE TO THE MARGINAL THERMODYNAMIC
ENVIRONMENT.
