AREAS AFFECTED...CNTRL ND

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 738...

VALID 110328Z - 110500Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 738
CONTINUES.

THE THREAT FOR HAIL AND LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IS EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE INTO CNTRL PARTS OF WW AREA.

AS OF 03Z...MESOANALYSIS INDICATED A SURFACE LOW W OF BIS WITH
ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT EXTENDING FROM E OF MOT THROUGH THE LOW CENTER
SWWD INTO W-CNTRL SD S OF 2WX. AS OF 0320Z...STRONG TO SEVERE TSTMS
WERE OBSERVED ALONG FRONT FROM SHERIDAN...MCLEAN AND BURLEIGH
COUNTIES ND TO CORSON COUNTY SD. MODIFICATION OF 00Z BIS SOUNDING
FOR CURRENT SURFACE CONDITIONS SUGGESTS THAT BOUNDARY LAYER IS
GRADUALLY STABILIZING OWING TO THE ONSET OF NOCTURNAL COOLING.
HOWEVER...INCREASING DEEP ASCENT IN ADVANCE OF SHORT WAVE TROUGH AND
FRONTAL CONVERGENCE SHOULD SERVE TO MAINTAIN ONGOING STORMS EWD
ACROSS WW AREA WITH A CONTINUED THREAT FOR ISOLATED HAIL AND LOCALLY
STRONG WIND GUSTS.

DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0732 PM CDT THU SEP 10 2009

VALID 110100Z - 111200Z

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS ACROSS PARTS OF THE NRN
PLAINS...

...NRN PLAINS...
A WELL-ORGANIZED UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO APPROACH THE
REGION FROM THE WEST NORTHWEST THIS EVENING. AHEAD OF THE
SYSTEM...AN AXIS OF MODERATE INSTABILITY IS ANALYZED FROM CNTRL SD
EXTENDING NNEWD INTO SRN MANITOBA WITH A COLD FRONT LOCATED ACROSS
WRN ND. INCREASING LARGE-SCALE ASCENT AHEAD OF THE APPROACHING
UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH AND MORE FOCUSED LOW-LEVEL CONVERGENCE ALONG THE
FRONT SHOULD RESULT IN THUNDERSTORM INITIATION OVER THE NEXT 1-2
HOURS ACROSS WCNTRL ND. MODEL FORECASTS ARE IN AGREEMENT DEVELOPING
A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING FROM ERN SD SWWD INTO PARTS
OF NWRN SD. THE 00Z SOUNDING FROM BISMARK SHOWS ABOUT 40 KT OF 0-6
KM SHEAR WITH A GRADUALLY VEERING WIND PROFILE BELOW 700 MB. THIS
ALONG WITH STEEP MID-LEVEL LAPSE RATES SHOULD SUPPORT ROTATING
STORMS WITH A THREAT FOR LARGE HAIL. AS STORMS INCREASE IN COVERAGE
ALONG THE BOUNDARY...A TRANSITION TO A MORE LINEAR MODE COULD OCCUR
RESULTING IN AN INCREASING THREAT FOR ISOLATED WIND DAMAGE LATE THIS
EVENING.

FURTHER SOUTHWEST ACROSS THE BLACK HILLS AND WRN NEB...MODEL
FORECASTS KEEP CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT MINIMAL DUE TO WEAKER
LARGE-SCALE ASCENT. A CAPPING INVERSION IS FORECAST TO STRENGTHEN
OVER WRN SD SUGGESTING ANY STORMS THAT CAN INITIATE WILL BECOME
ELEVATED LATE THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD. THE BEST
CHANCE FOR A SEVERE THREAT OVERNIGHT SHOULD BE WITH THE CLUSTER OF
THUNDERSTORMS ON THE NOSE OF THE LOW-LEVEL JET ACROSS WRN MN AND ERN
SD. ALTHOUGH INSTABILITY WILL BE DECREASING QUICKLY OVERNIGHT...A
MARGINAL SEVERE THREAT COULD LINGER AS A SFC LOW AND COLD FRONT
MOVES INTO THE ERN DAKOTAS.

...COASTS OF MD/DE AND NJ...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM JUST OFF THE COASTAL WATERS OF VIRGINA WILL
MOVE SLOWLY NWWD TONIGHT ALLOWING FOR A BAND OF THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY TO MOVE ONSHORE INTO THE IMMEDIATE COASTAL AREAS OF MD...DE
AND NJ. THE LATEST WSR-88D VWP FROM DOVER DE SHOWS A VEERING
LOW-LEVEL WIND PROFILE WITH HEIGHT BELOW 3 KM WITH 25-30 KT OF 0-1
KM SHEAR. IN ADDITION LCL HEIGHTS MAY DROP AND PRECIPITABLE WATER
VALUES MAY INCREASE AS THE LOW MOVES TOWARD THE COAST. THESE FACTORS
ALONG WITH THE STRONG LOW-LEVEL SHEAR MAY SUPPORT A MARGINAL TORNADO
THREAT WITH ROTATING STORMS THAT MOVE INLAND THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT.

URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 738
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
730 PM CDT THU SEP 10 2009

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

CENTRAL INTO NORTHEASTERN NORTH DAKOTA

EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING FROM 730 PM
UNTIL 200 AM CDT.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 60 MILES SOUTH OF

NORTH DAKOTA. FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE
ASSOCIATED WATCH OUTLINE UPDATE (WOUS64 KWNS WOU8).

REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

DISCUSSION...VERY STRONG UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM DIGGING ACROSS THE NRN
HIGH PLAINS WILL FOCUS INCREASING THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL ND THIS
EVENING/OVERNIGHT. 00Z SOUNDINGS INDICATE STEEP MID LEVEL LAPSE
RATES WITH SUFFICIENT INFLUX OF LOW LEVEL MOISTURE TO SUSTAIN
MODERATE MUCAPE OVERNIGHT. LOW LEVEL SHEAR REMAINS WEAK...HOWEVER
SUFFICIENT DEEP LAYER SHEAR WILL REMAIN IN PLACE FOR ORGANIZATION
INTO CLUSTERS/LINES AND PERHAPS A FEW SUPERCELLS. LARGE HAIL AND
HEAVY RAIN WILL BE PRIMARY THREATS...ALTHOUGH ISOLATED DAMAGING
WINDS REMAIN POSSIBLE.

AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 60
KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500. MEAN STORM

MESOSCALE DISCUSSION 2006

AREAS AFFECTED...CNTRL ND INTO WRN SD

CONCERNING...SEVERE POTENTIAL...WATCH POSSIBLE

VALID 102153Z - 102330Z

TSTMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF DISCUSSION AREA BY 00Z.
HAIL AND LOCALLY STRONG WIND GUSTS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE
STRONGEST STORMS AND CONVECTIVE TRENDS ARE BEING MONITORED FOR A
POSSIBLE WW.

SYNTHESIS OF SATELLITE AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONAL DATA INDICATE A
NUMBER OF BOUNDARIES PRESENT ACROSS THE REGION AS OF 21Z. THE MOST
NOTABLE WAS PRIMARY WIND SHIFT WHICH EXTENDED FROM MOT-E OF 2WX-GCC.
OTHER MORE SUBTLE BOUNDARIES WERE APPARENT FROM DVL SSWWD TO ERN
KIDDER/WRN STUTSMAN COUNTIES ND AND OVER TOWNER AND BENSON COUNTIES
ND. MODIFICATION OF 19Z BIS SOUNDING FOR CURRENT BOUNDARY LAYER
CONDITIONS SUGGESTS THAT CAP HAS BECOME QUITE WEAK. HOWEVER...MAIN
SHORT WAVE TROUGH LAGS WARM SECTOR WELL TO THE W OVER CNTRL MT.
THUS...WEAK LOW-LEVEL CONVERGENCE AND DAYTIME HEATING WILL BE THE
PRIMARY PROCESSES WHICH MAY CONTRIBUTE TO STORM INITIATION PRIOR TO
00Z.

CURRENT BIS VWP SHOWS RATHER WEAK WINDS BELOW 3 KM...WITH A NOTABLE
INCREASE IN THE 5-7 KM LAYER TO 40-45 KT. GIVEN THE PRESENCE OF THE
STEEP LAPSE RATES AND RESULTANT MLCAPE OF 1500-2000 J/KG...THIS
KINEMATIC PROFILE SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT FOR A FEW ORGANIZED STORMS
CAPABLE OF SEVERE HAIL AND LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. VERTICAL
SHEAR DECREASES WITH SWD EXTENT INTO WRN SD...THOUGH THE STEEP LAPSE
RATES MAY STILL SUPPORT ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS THROUGH THIS EVENING.

DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0259 PM CDT THU SEP 10 2009

VALID 102000Z - 111200Z

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS OVER THE NRN PLAINS LAST THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

...NRN PLAINS...
NO CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT AREAS FOR
THIS OUTLOOK.

EARLY AFTERNOON SURFACE ANALYSES SHOWED A COLD FRONT...ATTENDANT TO
THE AMPLIFYING SHORTWAVE TROUGH...EXTENDED FROM NERN MT TO NWRN WY.
19Z BIS SOUNDING SHOWED VERY LITTLE CAPPING LEFT AROUND 750 MB...
WITH OBJECTIVE ANALYSES ALSO INDICATING SURFACE BASED INHIBITION HAS
BEEN ELIMINATED GIVEN THE COMBINATION OF LOW LEVEL MOISTURE RETURN
/SURFACE DEWPOINTS IN THE LOWER-MID 60S...SURFACE HEATING...AND
COOLING MID LEVEL TEMPERATURES. DESPITE THESE THERMODYNAMIC
PROCESSES RESULTING IN MODERATE INSTABILITY...SHORTWAVE RIDGING HAS
THUS FAR LIMITED MORE ROBUST CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT. INCREASING WLY
MID LEVEL FLOW WITH APPROACH OF UPPER TROUGH IS SUPPORTING
STRENGTHENING EFFECTIVE BULK SHEAR /35-45 KT/ FROM NWRN SD TO ERN
ND/NWRN MN. TIMING OF STORM INITIATION SHOULD OCCUR AROUND 21-23Z
ACROSS CENTRAL/ERN ND...WITH SIMILAR STORM MODE EVOLUTION EXPECTED
AS INDICATED BY PREVIOUS FORECAST.

VIS IMAGERY/LIGHTNING DATA INDICATED AN ISOLATED STORM OVER THE
BLACK HILLS. CONVECTION WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN...BUT WEAKER INSTABILITY ACROSS FAR WRN SD MAY TEND TO LIMIT
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT ACROSS THIS PART OF THE SLIGHT RISK AREA.

..PETERS.. 09/10/2009

.PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 1100 AM CDT THU SEP 10 2009/

...NRN PLAINS...
MID LEVEL TROUGH...LOCATED OVER SRN ALBERTA THIS MORNING...IS
FORECAST TO DIG SEWD INTO NERN MT LATE AFTERNOON AND INTO CENTRAL ND
BY EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. ACCOMPANYING COLD FRONT...CURRENTLY MOVING
SEWD THROUGH CENTRAL MT...IS FORECAST TO EXTEND FROM FAR NWRN MN
SWWD INTO SERN WY BY 11/12Z. SLY FLOW AHEAD OF THE FRONT HAS
ADVECTED RICHER BOUNDARY LAYER MOISTURE INTO CENTRAL SD...AND SHOULD
SPREAD NNEWD ACROSS CENTRAL/SRN ND THIS AFTERNOON. THE COMBINATION
OF STRONG INSOLATION...SURFACE DEWPOINTS IN THE LOW 60S AND STEEP
MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES WILL SUPPORT MLCAPE VALUES OF 1500-2500 J/KG
LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THUNDERSTORMS MAY FORM BY LATE
AFTERNOON...AFTER 22Z...IN ERN ND IN REGION OF WEAK WARM ADVECTION.
HOWEVER...MORE WIDESPREAD THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE SHOULD OCCUR AFTER
DARK AS LARGE SCALE FORCING STRENGTHENS. DEEP LAYER SHEAR AT 35-40
KT FAVORS A MIX OF MULTICELL CLUSTERS AND SUPERCELL STRUCTURES. THE
THERMODYNAMIC STRUCTURE APPEARS MOST FAVORABLE FOR HAIL WITH THE
EARLY STORMS...BUT THE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONSOLIDATE INTO A
LINEAR SYSTEM OVERNIGHT ALONG THE COLD FRONT...WITH WIND DAMAGE
BECOMING THE GREATER THREAT AT THAT TIME.

...FAR ERN DELMARVA AND SRN NJ...
BROAD UPPER LOW WAS SITUATED IN THE VA/WV AREA THIS MORNING...WITH
SEVERAL VORTICITY CENTERS ROTATING AROUND THIS SYSTEM. PAST AND
LATEST MODEL FORECASTS HAVE BEEN CONSISTENT IN SUGGESTING THAT AS
ONE OF THESE VORT MAXES ROTATES NWWD INTO THE MID ATLANTIC
STATES...THE OFFSHORE LOW...LOCATED ABOUT 150 NM EAST OF THE NC
OUTER BANKS AT 15Z...WOULD MOVE NWWD AND INTO THE NRN DELMARVA AREA
LATE TONIGHT. THIS WOULD ADVECT RICHER ATLANTIC MOISTURE WWD AND
STRONG AMBIENT LOW/DEEP LAYER SHEAR MIGHT SUPPORT A SUPERCELL OR TWO
WITH A VERY LOW TORNADO/SEVERE WIND POTENTIAL. HOWEVER...THE GREATER
INSTABILITY AND ASSOCIATED WARM SECTOR IS MOST LIKELY TO REMAIN
OFFSHORE...SO ONLY LOW TORNADO PROBABILITIES ARE FORECAST ALONG THE
COAST FROM FAR ERN MD NEWD INTO SRN NJ.

...NWRN GULF/TX COASTAL REGION...
WIDESPREAD CONVECTION WAS LOCATED ACROSS SRN TX AND THE NWRN
GULF...ALONG AND NORTH OF A SURFACE TROUGH IN THE GULF...AND AHEAD
OF AN UPPER WAVE LOCATED NEAR LRD. WIDESPREAD CLOUDS/PCPN ALONG WITH
WEAK ENVIRONMENTAL WINDS SHOULD LIMIT THE SEVERE THREAT...THOUGH PW
VALUES FROM 2.25-2.50 INCHES MAY SUPPORT LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
RATES.

...AZ/NM THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING...
WEAK MID/HIGH LEVEL CIRCULATION IN THE GRAND CANYON REGION COMBINED
WITH STRONG HEATING WILL SUPPORT SCATTERED AFTERNOON/EVENING
THUNDERSTORMS. THE SEVERE THREAT APPEARS REMOTE AS THE UPDRAFTS WILL
BE DISORGANIZED AND SHORT-LIVED DUE TO WEAK WINDS/SHEAR...ESPECIALLY
FROM THE SURFACE-500 MB.

DAY 2 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
1228 PM CDT THU SEP 10 2009

VALID 111200Z - 121200Z

...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...SYNOPSIS...
12Z MODELS REMAIN CONSISTENT INDICATING THE SHORTWAVE TROUGH
AMPLIFYING SEWD INTO THE NRN PLAINS TODAY WILL EVOLVE INTO A CLOSED
LOW FRIDAY AND TRACK SWWD TOWARD THE CENTRAL/NRN HIGH PLAINS. THIS
PATTERN CHANGE WILL RESULT IN A REX BLOCK AS SPLIT FLOW REGIME OVER
WRN CANADA BREAKS DOWN AND A RIDGE BUILDS N/NEWD INTO WRN/CENTRAL
CANADA. WEAK SURFACE LOW ATTENDANT TO THE CLOSED LOW SHOULD OCCLUDE
OVER THE ERN DAKOTAS BEFORE UNDERGOING FURTHER WEAKENING. TRAILING
FRONT WILL ADVANCE SWD THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLAINS. MEANWHILE...THE
OH VALLEY UPPER LOW WILL DRIFT SLOWLY TOWARD THE MID ATLANTIC
REGION.

...CENTRAL PLAINS TO MID MO VALLEY...
UPPER 50S TO LOW 60S DEWPOINTS WILL PERSIST IN WARM SECTOR FROM THE
CENTRAL AND SRN PLAINS THROUGH THE MS VALLEY. MUCH OF THE MOIST
WARM SECTOR WILL HAVE SHIFTED EAST OF THE STEEPER LAPSE RATES WITH
WEAK INSTABILITY LIKELY. THE EXCEPTION REMAINS OVER THE CENTRAL
HIGH PLAINS WHERE A PLUME OF RELATIVELY STEEP LAPSE RATES WILL EXIST
ALONG WRN PERIPHERY OF LOW LEVEL MOISTURE RESULTING IN THE POTENTIAL
FOR MODERATE INSTABILITY.

AT 12Z FRIDAY...TSTMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ONGOING ALONG THE SURFACE
FRONT FROM NRN NEB THROUGH THE ERN DAKOTAS TO NWRN MN. ADDITIONAL
STORMS WILL LIKELY REDEVELOP ALONG THE CONVECTIVELY ENHANCED FRONT
AS IT MOVES EWD AND SEWD DURING THE DAY. MODELS CONTINUE TO
INDICATE STRONG DEEP LAYER SHEAR WILL REMAIN WNW OF THE FRONT.
THUS...WEAK VERTICAL SHEAR CO-LOCATED WITH STRONGER INSTABILITY OVER
THE CENTRAL PLAINS SHOULD RESULT IN A RATHER LIMITED SEVERE WEATHER
THREAT.

DAY1SVR: Day 1 Convective Outlook

SPC AC 101244

DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0744 AM CDT THU SEP 10 2009

VALID 101300Z - 111200Z

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT FOR
THE NRN PLAINS...

...NRN PLAINS THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT...
A PRONOUNCED NRN STREAM MID LEVEL TROUGH OVER ALBERTA THIS MORNING
WILL DIG SEWD OVER NRN MT TODAY AND REACH THE DAKOTAS
OVERNIGHT...ACCOMPANIED BY A SURFACE COLD FRONT. MEANWHILE...THE
BAROCLINIC ZONE IN THE WAKE OF THE PREVIOUS MID LEVEL TROUGH IS NOW
LIFTING NWD FROM SD TOWARD CENTRAL/ERN ND. CONTINUED NWD ADVECTION
OF BOUNDARY LAYER DEWPOINTS IN THE LOW 60S BENEATH STEEP MID LEVEL
LAPSE RATES...IN CONJUNCTION WITH DAYTIME HEATING...WILL SUPPORT
LATE AFTERNOON MLCAPE VALUES OF 1500-2500 J/KG.

THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED THIS EVENING AND WILL CONTINUE
OVERNIGHT ALONG THE COLD FRONT MOVING SEWD FROM ERN MT INTO THE WRN
DAKOTAS...IN PHASE WITH THE BELT OF LOW-MID LEVEL ASCENT DOWNSTREAM
FROM THE MID LEVEL TROUGH. THE MODERATE WARM SECTOR INSTABILITY AND
MODEST VERTICAL SHEAR ALONG THE FRONT WILL SUPPORT ORGANIZED
MULTICELL CLUSTERS...ALONG WITH SOME POTENTIAL FOR EMBEDDED BOW
AND/OR MARGINAL SUPERCELL STRUCTURES IN A BROKEN BAND ALONG THE
FRONT. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY SEVERE
THREATS THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT.

...MID ATLANTIC COAST THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT...
SEVERAL MID LEVEL VORTICITY CENTERS CONTINUE TO ROTATE AROUND THE
WEAK OH VALLEY-MID ATLANTIC LOW. SHORT TERM MODEL FORECASTS ARE
REASONABLY CONSISTENT IN SUGGESTING THAT THE OFFSHORE FRONTAL WAVE
WILL MOVE NWWD TO NEAR THE MID ATLANTIC COAST LATE TODAY AND
TONIGHT. THIS WILL RESULT IN A TENDENCY FOR LOW-LEVEL
MOISTENING/DESTABILIZATION NEAR THE COAST...AND AT LEAST SOME
POTENTIAL FOR ROTATING STORMS WITH WEAK SURFACE-BASED INSTABILITY
AND STRONG LOW-LEVEL SHEAR NEAR AND JUST N OF THE SURFACE LOW.
STILL...THE INLAND PROGRESSION OF THE UNSTABLE WARM SECTOR IS NOT
CERTAIN...THUS WILL MAINTAIN ONLY LOW TORNADO PROBABILITIES.

...NW GULF COAST THROUGH TONIGHT...
THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE TODAY THE TX COASTAL
PLAINS AND NW GULF OF MEXICO...NEAR A SURFACE TROUGH AND DOWNSTREAM
FROM A WEAK UPPER TROUGH MOVING EWD FROM NRN MEXICO. WEAK MEAN FLOW
AND PW VALUES OF 2.25-2.50 INCHES WILL SUPPORT LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL RATES WITH THESE STORMS...BUT THE SEVERE STORM THREAT WILL
REMAIN NEGLIGIBLE.

...AZ/NM THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING...
SCATTERED DIURNAL STORMS WILL OCCUR AGAIN...MAINLY OVER THE HIGHER
TERRAIN OF WRN NM INTO NE AZ. THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE SUPPORTED BY
DAYTIME HEATING...A ROUGHLY 0.25 INCH INCREASE IN PW VALUES DURING
THE PAST 24 HOURS...AND WEAK ASCENT WITH A SUBTLE MID LEVEL TROUGH
OVER AZ.

..THOMPSON/GARNER.. 09/10/2009
