DEEP CLOSED LOW NOW NEAR JAMES BAY WILL ADVANCE FARTHER N INTO
CANADA THIS PERIOD AS ASSOCIATED POSITIVE TILT IMPULSE NOW
APPROACHING AR CONTINUES E TO THE SRN APPALACHIANS BY THIS EVE...AND
OFF THE MID ATLANTIC CST EARLY MON. THIS SETUP WILL LEAVE MUCH OF
THE LWR 48 IN ZONAL FLOW...DOWNSTREAM FROM COMPACT LOW NOW OFF THE

AT THE SFC...A WEAK FRONTAL WAVE IS EXPECTED TO FORM OVER THE

THE CNTRL STATES OVER THE PAST TWO DAYS. THE WAVE SHOULD MOVE OFF
THE NE NC CST BY EARLY EVE.

...SERN U.S...
WEAK INSTABILITY WILL EXIST ALONG/AHEAD OF AFOREMENTIONED FRONT FROM

LIKELY OVER S GA AND NRN/CNTRL FL. SFC WAVE DEVELOPMENT WILL

MODIFIED GULF AIRMASS WILL STRUGGLE TO MOVE INLAND ALONG THE TX/LA

ENHANCE THE POSSIBILITY FOR A FEW THUNDERSTORMS BUT THERMODYNAMIC

OF A RETREATING SFC ANTICYCLONE WILL ALLOW A PLUME OF MODIFIED GOM
BOUNDARY LAYER MOISTURE TO RETURN TO DEEP SOUTH TX. THOUGH LAPSE

...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...SYNOPSIS...

BOTH THE NAM AND GFS ARE REASONABLY CONSISTENT REGARDING THE
EVOLUTION OF WEST COAST UPPER TROUGH AS IT SAGS SEWD TOWARD SRN CA.
QUITE COLD MID LEVEL TEMPERATURES WILL OVERSPREAD THE MIDDLE CA
COAST DURING THE DAY2 PERIOD WHICH WILL STEEPEN LAPSE RATES AND
ENHANCE BUOYANCY NECESSARY FOR LOW TOPPED CONVECTION INVOF UPPER
LOW. FOR THIS REASON IT APPEARS A FEW THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED
WHERE MARINE BOUNDARY LAYER PROVIDES A BIT MORE MOISTURE/INSTABILITY
FOR DEEPER UPDRAFTS.

ELSEWHERE...WEAK WARM ADVECTION WILL DEVELOP ACROSS DEEP SOUTH TX
TOWARD THE MIDDLE TX COAST. WEAK ELEVATED INSTABILITY SHOULD AID IN
THE DEVELOPMENT OF SHALLOW CONVECTION AND A FEW SHOWERS LATE IN THE
PERIOD...BUT LIKELY NOT SUFFICIENT FOR LIGHTNING DISCHARGE.
