AREAS AFFECTED...FAR SRN AL...WRN FL PANHANDLE
CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 535...
VALID 242333Z - 250130Z
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 535
CONTINUES.
SUMMARY...AN ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND THREAT CONTINUES ACROSS THE
REMAINDER OF WW 535. WHILE SOME THREAT WILL LIKELY EXTEND E OF THE
WATCH...OVERALL SVR COVERAGE IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW AND A NEW WW IS
NOT PLANNED.
DISCUSSION...REGIONAL RADAR IMAGERY HAS SHOWN A CONTINUED
FORWARD-PROPAGATING TREND WITH THE LINE OF STORMS MOVING ACROSS SRN
AL AND THE WRN FL PANHANDLE. SOME WIND DAMAGE WAS REPORTED WITH THIS
LINE IN SWRN AL.
ALTHOUGH THE LINE IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE EWD INTO SERN AL AND
W-CNTRL FL PANHANDLE...THE LOSS OF DAYTIME HEATING WILL
SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE INSTABILITY...WITH A RESULTANT DECREASE IN THE
PROBABILITY OF ANY DAMAGING WINDS. HOWEVER...SOME ISOLATED DAMAGING
WINDS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE AS BOTH BULK SHEAR AND LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE
REMAIN HIGH. ANTICIPATED LOW SVR COVERAGE CURRENTLY PRECLUDES THE
NEED FOR A WW AND A DOWNSTREAM WW IS NOT PLANNED AT THIS TIME.

AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTH-CENTRAL/SOUTHEAST MS TO SOUTHWEST AL
CONCERNING...SEVERE POTENTIAL...WATCH POSSIBLE
VALID 241833Z - 242000Z
PROBABILITY OF WATCH ISSUANCE...40 PERCENT
SUMMARY...ASIDE FROM VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...ISOLATED DAMAGING
WIND/BRIEF TORNADO POTENTIAL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE/PERHAPS
MODESTLY INCREASE ACROSS SOUTHEAST/SOUTH-CENTRAL PORTIONS OF MS INTO
SOUTHWEST AL.
DISCUSSION...THE BOWING BRUNT OF AN EASTWARD-MOVING /30 KT/
QUASI-LINEAR CONVECTIVE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO APPROACH THE I-59
CORRIDOR INCLUDING AREAS NEAR/SOUTHWEST OF MERIDIAN AS OF 1815Z.
AHEAD OF THIS COMPLEX...STRATUS CONTINUES TO THIN SOMEWHAT WITH
SURFACE TEMPERATURES WARMING /NOW SOME LOWER 80S INTO AREAS SUCH AS

WARMING IN THE PRESENCE OF A HIGH MOISTURE CONTENT AIRMASS IS NOW
LIKELY SUPPORTING MLCAPE OF 1000 J/KG OR ABOVE NEAR/SOUTH OF THE
WARM FRONT. CONTINUED FORWARD PROPAGATION/PRECIPITATION LOADING WITH
THE EXISTING LINEAR/BOWING COMPLEX WILL CONTINUE TO YIELD SOME RISK
FOR ISOLATED DAMAGING WINDS/PERHAPS A TORNADO IN AREAS NEAR/EAST OF
I-59 INTO SOUTHWEST AL...WHILE ADDITIONAL STORM MERGERS/BACKBUILDING
ON THE SOUTHERN FLANK COULD LEAD TO AN EXPANSION OF THE STRONGER
QLCS ELEMENTS WITH ADDITIONAL BOW DEVELOPMENT OVER TIME WITHIN MOIST
CONFLUENT LOW-LEVEL FLOW. CONVECTIVE TRENDS WILL CONTINUE TO BE

...SYNOPSIS...
SHORTWAVE TROUGH NOW OVER THE MS VALLEY REGION WILL ADVANCE THROUGH
THE OH AND TN VALLEYS WEDNESDAY AND APPROACH THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD
LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT. MEANWHILE...A BROAD UPPER TROUGH WILL CONTINUE
TO EVOLVE AND DEVELOP EWD THROUGH WRN STATES. A SIGNIFICANT VORT MAX

INTO THE NRN HIGH PLAINS WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
A FRONT IS FORECAST TO OCCLUDE OVER THE SERN STATES...WHILE A
QUASISTATIONARY BOUNDARY REMAINS SITUATED ALONG THE GULF COASTAL
REGION. FARTHER WEST...A LEE TROUGH WILL BECOME RE-ESTABLISHED
ACROSS THE NRN AND CNTRL HIGH PLAINS IN RESPONSE TO INCREASING WLY

THIS BOUNDARY SITUATED OVER THE NRN HIGH PLAINS WILL BE OVERTAKEN BY
A COLD FRONT THAT WILL ACCELERATE THROUGH ERN MT EARLY WEDNESDAY IN
RESPONSE TO EJECTING VORT MAX.
...NRN HIGH PLAINS...
RICHER LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE WILL REMAIN CONFINED TO THE GULF COASTAL

SUMMARY...AN ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUST OR TWO CANNOT BE RULED OUT

DISCUSSION...WEAK LOW-LEVEL ASCENT INVOF A SFC CONFLUENCE AXIS THAT

MIDDLE GULF CONTINUES SUPPORTING AN AREA OF LOOSELY ORGANIZED
CONVECTIVE CLUSTERS. THIS ACTIVITY EXTENDS OUT TO 200 MILES OFF THE

STRONGER STORMS COULD ALSO EVOLVE NWD ACROSS ERN PARTS OF CNTRL FL

WHILE LOW/MID-LEVEL FLOW STRENGTH IS RELATIVELY MODEST...MLB/TBW VWP

CONCERNING...HEAVY RAINFALL...FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE
VALID 241610Z - 242010Z
SUMMARY...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FORMING ON A PWAT AXIS MAY
PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MS
AND NEARBY LA THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.
DISCUSSION...CONVECTION CONTINUES TO FIRE AHEAD OF A SURFACE
TROUGH ON AN AXIS OF PWAT (WITH VALUES NEAR 2.10 INCHES) OVER
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MS INTO NEARBY LA. THE INFLOW IS RELATIVELY
WEAK BUT PERSISTENT ENOUGH TO FEED THE ONGOING CONVECTION. THE
LATEST HRRR AND RAP SEEM TO WEAKEN THIS AREA A BIT TOO
