AS AN UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH APPROACHES THE WEST COAST TODAY. IN
RESPONSE...LARGE-SCALE ASCENT WILL INCREASE ACROSS CA...NV AND ORE
WHICH COMBINED WITH COLD AIR ALOFT IN THE CORE OF THE TROUGH WILL
SUPPORT SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON.
ELSEWHERE...A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL REMAIN OVER SCNTRL FL AND MOVE
SLOWLY SWD TODAY. LOW-LEVEL CONVERGENCE ALONG THE BOUNDARY AND SFC
HEATING SHOULD ALLOW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP THIS
AFTERNOON. NONE OF THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ACROSS THE CONUS SHOULD
BECOME ORGANIZED TODAY OR TONIGHT.
