..SYNOPSIS...
LONG-WAVE UPPER TROUGH WILL PERSIST OVER THE ERN HALF OF THE CONUS
THIS PERIOD. A SHORT-WAVE FEATURE WITHIN THE LARGER-SCALE TROUGH
WILL CONTINUE MOVING ACROSS THE OH VALLEY AND EVENTUALLY ACROSS NEW
ENGLAND AND THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION. MEANWHILE...A SECOND
SHORT-WAVE TROUGH IS EXPECTED TO DIG SEWD OUT OF CANADA TOWARD THE
UPPER MS VALLEY/UPPER GREAT LAKES REGION DURING THE SECOND HALF OF
THE PERIOD. THIS WILL MAINTAIN LONG-WAVE TROUGHING ACROSS THE ERN
HALF OF THE CONUS THROUGH THE PERIOD.
AT THE SURFACE...A SECONDARY COLD FRONT -- ASSOCIATED WITH THE
SHORT-WAVE TROUGH DIGGING SEWD OUT OF CANADA -- WILL MOVE SEWD
ACROSS THE PLAINS AND UPPER MS VALLEY REGION THROUGH THE END OF THE
PERIOD. HOWEVER...WITH SEASONABLY-COOL/STABLE AIRMASS AHEAD OF THIS
FRONT AND PARTICULARLY IN ITS WAKE...THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT
ANTICIPATED ACROSS THE CONUS THIS FORECAST.
