EWD INTO THE APPALACHIAN MTNS SATURDAY. IN RESPONSE...A SFC TROUGH
WILL MOVE EWD INTO THE ATLANTIC COASTAL PLAINS AS A WARM FRONT
ADVANCED NWD INTO THE MID-ATLANTIC BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. STEEPENING
LAPSE RATES AND STRONG LARGE-SCALE ASCENT ASSOCIATED WITH THE
APPROACHING UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS THE BOUNDARY MOVES
ACROSS NJ AND SRN NEW ENGLAND DURING THE EARLY EVENING.
ELSEWHERE...THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
SERN FL NEAR A STATIONARY FRONT. NONE OF THE ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO
HAVE A SEVERE THREAT DURING THE DAY 2 PERIOD.
