TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING FROM 610 PM
UNTIL 100 AM EDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 55 MILES NORTHWEST OF
AUGUSTA GEORGIA TO 25 MILES SOUTH OF SOUTHERN PINES NORTH

SHEAR WILL PROVE FAVORABLE FOR SUPERCELL AND BOWING
SEGMENTS...ENHANCING THE POTENTIAL FOR LARGE HAIL/DAMAGING WINDS AND
THE THREAT OF ISOLATED TORNADOES.
