DAMAGED, 1 MOBILE HOME MOVED OFF ITS FOUNDATION. RATED AS

POSSIBLE TORNADO. SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE STARTING ON U.S. 441
AT MILE MARKER 2-3 AT TAPPIN SPUR ROAD. DAMAGE CONTINUES
EAST TO HALE ROAD AND COLHAM ROAD. TREES DOWN AND A
VEHICLE OVERTURNED. U.S. 441 WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED
BECAUSE OF DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES. SEVERAL HOMES
SUSTAINED MINOR ROOF DAMAGE. ONE MOBILE HOME MOVED FROM
ITS FOUNDATION. GEORGIA NATURE CENTER REPORTS HUNDREDS OF
TREES DOWN...TWO TENT AREAS DESTROYED...DAMAGE TO SOLAR
PANELS. DAMAGE PATH ESTIMATED TO BE 1/3 MILE WIDE.

POSSIBLE TORNADO. EMA DIRECTOR REPORTS SIGNIFICANT PATH
OF DAMAGE BEGINNING IN THE TYRONE COMMUNITY INT HE
WESTERN PART OF THE COUNTY NEAR GEORGIA HIGHWAY 44 AND
CONTINUING SOUTH TOWARD GEORGIA HIGHWAY 47. ONE 3500 SQ.
FT. HOME COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED. FIVE OTHER BUILDINGS WITH
MINOR TO MODERATE DAMAGE. A CHICKEN HOUSE WAS ALSO
DESTROYED. NINE ROADS BLOCKED WITH DEBRIS, DOWNWED TREES,
OR POWER LINES AT ONE TIME.

*** 1 INJ *** SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE FROM WILLARD TO
EATONTON...ESPECIALLY THE WEST AND SOUTH SIDE OF THE
CITY. ONE RESTAURANT COMPLETELY DESTROYED. SEVERAL
HOMES...BOTH MOBILE AND SITE-BUILT HOMES SUSTAINED
MODERATE TO MAJOR DAMAGE. NUMEROUS TREES UPROOTED. AT
LEAST ONE PERSON INJURED FROM DEBRIS. SOME PEOPLE BRIEFLY
TRAPPED IN CARS AND HOMES. U.S. HIGHWAY 129 CLOSED BY
DOWNED POWER LINES. PATH LENGTH APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES AND
PATH LENGTH APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE WIDE.

12 TREES DOWN ON GEORGIA HIGHWAY 36 NEAR HENDERSON MILL
ROAD. A BARN IN THE AREA WAS ALSO DESTROYED.

DAMAGE TO SEVERAL HOMES ALONG GEORGIA HIGHWAY 16, ONE
WHICH SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE NEAR THE END POINT. A NUMER
OF POWER LINES AND TREES DOWN IN THE AREA AS WELL. JUST
BEFORE THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN...MINOR DAMAGE WAS NOTED
OUTSIDE A WAREHOUSE WHERE SUPPLIES WERE SCATTERED ABOUT.
TORNADO PATH LENGTH WAS ESTIMATED TO BE APPROXIMATLY
SEVEN MILES LONG WITH A MAXIMUM PATH WIDTH OF 1/4 MILE.

PATH OF DAMAGE SEVEN TO EIGHT MILES LONG BEGINNING AT 923
BRADBERRY ROAD...APPROXIMATELY THREE MILES WEST OF U.S.
27...THEN CONTINUING EAST-NORTHEAST ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN
COWETA COUNTY. STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO AT LEAST A DOZEN
HOMES...SOME SUBSTANTIAL. PATH WIDTH ESTIMATED TO BE 1
MILE WIDE AT SOME POINTS.

*** 1 FATAL, 2 INJ *** PROBABLE TORNADO...SIGNIFICANT
DAMAGE TO SEVERAL HOMES AND A CHURCH DESTROYED IN THE
HICKORY GROVE COMMUNITY. ONE FATALITY OCCURRED WHEN A
PERSON WAS THROWN FROM HIS MOBILE HOME LOCATED IN THE
HICKORY GROVE COMMUNITY. AT LEAST TWO OTHER INJURIES
REPORTED FROM DEBRIS IN DAMAGED HOMES.
