FAST SOUTHWESTERLY MID LEVEL WINDS EXTENDING FROM CENTRAL CA INTO
THE NORTHERN GREAT BASIN. ONE STRONG SHORTWAVE TROUGH IS EMBEDDED
IN THIS FLOW OVER NORTHERN CA. THIS FEATURE WILL TRACK
NORTHEASTWARD INTO PARTS OF ID/MT THIS EVENING. SCATTERED SHOWERS
ARE LIKELY AHEAD OF THIS TROUGH...AND POTENTIAL WILL EXIST FOR
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WHERE AFTERNOON HEATING WILL ENHANCE LAPSE
RATES/INSTABILITY. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE QUITE
SPARSE.
