03/26/2009 F1 JASPER MS NWS STORM SURVEY
THE TORNADO STARTED JUST OFF CR 20 ABOUT 1 MILES ESE OF
MONTROSE. SEVERAL TREES WERE SNAPPED AND UPROOTED.
SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE OCCURRED ALONG CR 2414, 4 HOMES
HEAVILY DAMAGED. NUMEROUS TREES SNAPPED AND UPROOTED WITH
2 LARGE TREES DOWN THROUGH A MOBILE HOME. THE TORNADO
CROSSED HWY 503 AND DESTROYED AN OLD CHURCH BUILDING.
NUMEROUS TREES AND POWERLINES DOWN ALONG TORNADO PATH.
MAX PATH WIDTH WAS 500 YDS. PATH ENDED 5 S CHUNKY. RATED
EF1 WITH MAX WINDS 110 MPH. 17 MILE TRACK LENGTH.
