05/06/2009 F1 LAWRENCE AL NWS STORM SURVEY

A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ALONG COUNTY ROAD 327 IN LAWRENCE
COUNTY WITH PEAK WINDS ESTIMATED AT 105 MPH. THE TORNADO
TRACKED NORTHEAST FOR 4 MILES WITH A MAXIMUM PATH WIDTH
OF 75 YARDS. SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE OCCURRED TO A MOBILE HOME
AND SEVERAL TREES WERE SNAPPED AND UNROOTED IN THE CADDO
AREA ALONG COUNTY ROAD 328. THE TORNADO CONTINUED TO
CAUSE MINOR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO HOMES AS IT CROSSED INTO
WESTERN MORGAN COUNTY BEFORE LIFTING 1/2 MILE FROM THE
INTERSECTION OF RAPER AND PLEASANT HILL ROADS.

05/06/2009 F0 MORGAN AL NWS STORM SURVEY

A TORNADO BRIEFLY TOUCHED DOWN NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF
7TH AVENUE AND 5TH STREET IN DECATUR WITH PEAK WINDS
ESTIMATED AROUND 80 MPH. TREES WERE UPROOTED AND SNAPPED
ALONG THE BRIEF DAMAGE PATH OF 3/4 OF A MILE. SEVERAL
HOMES AND VEHICLES WERE ALSO DAMAGED BY DOWNED TREES. THE
TORNADO LIFTED NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF 16TH AVENUE AND
SHERMAN STREET.
