WESTERN CONNECTICUT
EXTREME WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS
NORTHERN NEW JERSEY
EASTERN AND SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
EXTREME EAST CENTRAL OHIO
PENNSYLVANIA
SOUTHERN VERMONT
NORTHERN PANHANDLE OF WEST VIRGINIA
EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 510 PM UNTIL
1100 PM EDT.
HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70
STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES SOUTH
SOUTHWEST OF PITTSBURGH PENNSYLVANIA TO 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF

70S...CONTRIBUTING TO MLCAPE OF 1500-2500 J/KG. WESTERLY FLOW OF
30-40 KT ABOVE 2-3 KM IS PROVIDING SUFFICIENT SHEAR TO PROMOTE STORM
ORGANIZATION...AND UNIDIRECTIONAL PROFILES SUGGEST POTENTIAL FOR
BOWING LINE SEGMENTS.
AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
