THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
CENTRAL ARKANSAS
NORTHERN LOUISIANA
EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING FROM 955 PM
UNTIL 400 AM CDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF
BATESVILLE ARKANSAS TO 45 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SHREVEPORT

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

SMALL BOW STRUCTURES...WILL CONTINUE ALONG AND IN ADVANCE OF THE
SLOW-MOVING COLD FRONT FROM E TX INTO WRN AR. MODERATE INSTABILITY
AND STRONG DEEP-LAYER SHEAR PERSIST ACROSS LA/AR...AND WILL REMAIN
SUPPORTIVE OF SUPERCELLS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. A FEW
TORNADOES WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT GIVEN THE RICH
LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AND SUFFICIENTLY STRONG LOW-LEVEL SHEAR.
