LAMOILLE CREEK...SWELLED BY SNOW MELT...FLOODED MULTIPLE
RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES AND A FEW COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES IN
THE TOWN OF LAMOILLE. WATER ALSO FLOWED OVER LAMOILLE
HIGHWAY /NV-227/ FOR A BRIEF TIME. LOG JAMS DEVELOPED
NEAR THE BRIDGE AND HAD TO BE REMOVED WITH HEAVY
EQUIPMENT. DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE BRIDGE DURING THE
REMOVAL PROCESS. MAXIMUM GAGE READING ON LAMOILLE CREEK
NEAR LAMOILLE WAS 5.97 FEET AT 530 PM PDT ON JUNE
6...WHICH IS JUST SHY OF MAJOR FLOODING /6.00 FEET/.

RAPID SNOW MELT CAUSED A MUDSLIDE IN LAMOILLE CANYON
ABOVE THOMAS CANYON AT APPROXIMATELY 8000 FEET MSL. THE
MUDSLIDE BURRIED LAMOILLE CANYON ROAD UNDER 5 TO 6 FEET
OF MUD AND ROCK...RENDERING IT IMPASSABLE.
