TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN NEAR GRAFTON AND TRACKED ABOUT 6
MILES TO THE EAST... ENDING 5 E OF GRAFTON BY 441 PM CDT.
THE TORNADO BROKE DOWN NUMEROUS LARGE TREE LIMBS ACROSS
THE NORTH PART OF TOWN AND SNAPPED OFF SEVERAL LARGE PINE
TREES IN THE CEMETARY EAST OF TOWN. IT CONTINUED EASTWARD
ALONG HWY 17... SEVERELY DAMAGING SHELTER BELTS...
TOSSING CULVERT SECTIONS... DENTING STEEL GRAIN BINS AND
KNOCKING DOWN TWO POWER POLES. MAXIMUM WIDTH ESTIMATED TO
200 YARDS AND PEAK WINDS TO 110 MPH.

REAR FLANK DOWNDRAFT WINDS FROM A NEARBY TORNADO PUSHED
THROUGH THE GRAFTON AIRPORT COMPLEX AND REGISTERED AT 87
KNOTS ON THE MIDFIELD ANEMOMETER. ONE HANGAR RECEIVED
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE ALONG WITH FIVE SMALL AIRPLANES WHICH
WERE PARKED INSIDE.

3 NE WARREN TO ABOUT 2 W RADIUM. ONE FARMSTEAD HAD SOME
MINOR SHINGLE DAMAGE... TREE DAMAGE AND PAINT SCARRING
FROM WINDBORN GRAVEL AND OTHER DEBRIS. ANOTHER FARMSTEAD
HAD SIGNIFICANT ROOF DAMAGE TO A SMALL WOODEN QUONSET DUE
MAINLY TO FALLING TREE LIMBS. THERE WAS SOME TREE DAMAGE
IN SHELTER BELTS AND MINOR CROP SCARRING IN FIELDS.
MAXIMUM WIDTH ESTIMATED AT 100 YARDS AND PEAK WINDS
ESTIMATED TO 95 MPH.

TORNADO TRACKED INTERMITTENTLY FOR ABOUT 8 MILES... FROM
1 SSW KEY WEST TO AROUND 8 N CROOKSTON. LARGE LIMBS WERE
BROKEN OFF SEVERAL TREES IN SHELTERBELTS AND ONE POWER
POLE WAS CRACKED NEAR THE BASE. THE TORNADO WAS VIEWED AS
A FAIRLY DIFFUSE AND PARTIALLY RAIN WRAPPED FUNNEL WITH
INTERMITTENT TOUCHDOWNS AND OCASSIONALLY LOFTED DEBRIS.
MAXIMUM WIDTH ESTIMATED AT 50 YARDS AND PEAK WINDS
ESTIMATED TO 85 MPH.
