ANOTHER UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE ONSHORE ACROSS THE WEST COAST
AS THE EXIT REGION OF A 90 TO 110 KT MID-LEVEL JET MOVES SEWD ACROSS
NRN CA. FROM THE JET AXIS TO THE NORTH ALONG THE COAST OF ORE AND
WA...THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL BE POSSIBLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING IN THE CORE OF THE UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH WHERE MID-LEVEL LAPSE
RATES WILL BE STEEP AND TEMPS ALOFT WILL BE QUITE COLD. ACROSS THE
ECNTRL PART OF THE U.S...AN UPPER-LEVEL RIDGE WILL DOMINATE. FOR
THIS REASON ALONG WITH DRY AIR IN THE BOUNDARY LAYER ASSOCIATED WITH
SFC HIGH PRESSURE IN THE OH AND TN VALLEYS...THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT
