ESTIMATED A THUNDERSTORM WIND GUST OF 50 MPH IN AN
APPARENT MICROBURST ON BIG COPPITT KEY. A MATURE SEA
GRAPE TREE WITH A 6-13 INCH DIAMETER BASE WAS TOPPLED
DURING THE STORM.

A WIND GUST OF 36 KNOTS...41 MPH...FROM THE
EAST-NORTHEAST WAS RECORDED AT THE SAND KEY LIGHT C-MAN
STATION DURING A THUNDERSTORM GUST FRONT PASSAGE.
ANEMOMETER HEIGHT 149 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL.

DEVELOPING PULSE THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A NORTHEAST-TO-SOUTHWEST
ORIENTED...LOWER KEYS-INDUCED CONVERGENCE ZONE WERE ENHANCED BY AN
OUTFLOW BOUNDARY INTERSECTION. THE OUTFLOW BOUNDARY MOVED SOUTHWARD
OVER THE EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO...HAVING BEEN INITIATED
BY A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS WHICH DEVELOPED NEAR NORTHWEST CAPE
SABLE.
