THE EF2 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN 3 WSW OF THORNTON AND
CONTINUED 19.2 MILES TO 4.9 SW OF RISON...AFFECTING
CALHOUN...DALLAS AND CLEVELAND COUNTIES. IN CALHOUN
COUNTY...DAMAGE WAS MOSTLY LIMITED TO TIMBER. IN DALLAS
COUNTY...THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO HOUSES NORTHWEST
OF FORDYCE...THE COUNTRY CLUB...AND A SET OF TRANSMISSION
TOWERS. IN CLEVELAND COUNTY...THERE WAS MOSTLY DAMAGE TO
TIMBER. HOWEVER...A CHURCH BUILT IN 1852 IN NORTH
KINGSLAND WAS DESTROYED.

THIS TORNADO STARTED 2.5 MILES SW OF COY AND ENDED 1.7
MILES SW OF COY FOR A TOTAL PATH LENGTH OF THREE QUARTERS
OF A MILE AND WAS RATED AN EF1. DAMAGE FOUND INCLUDED AN
IRRIGATION PIVOT THAT WAS FLIPPED OVER AND LANDED IN A
NEARBY DITCH. A NUMBER OF TREE LIMBS WERE SNAPPED OFF.

01/22/2012 F1 JEFFERSON AR NWS STORM SURVEY

THE STARTING POINT OF THE TORNADO WAS 2.7 MILES WSW OF
MOSCOW AND ENDED 1.2 MILES NE OF MOSCOW FOR A TOTAL PATH
LENGTH OF 3.8 MILES. THIS TORNADO WAS RATED AN EF1.
DAMAGE FOUND INCLUDED A SHED WHICH WAS THROWN OVER A FARM
SHOP. THE FARM SHOPS ROOF WAS DAMAGED. AN EMPTY 12000
GALLON FUEL TANK WAS THROWN INTO A FIELD. AN IRRIGATION
PIVOT WAS OVERTURNED AND TORN APART. A FEW TREES WERE
BLOWN DOWN AND THE FOUNDATION OF A CONCRETE BLOCK HOUSE
WAS DAMAGED.

THE EF2 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN SWEDEN...AND CONTINUED
16.9 MILES TO 3.45 NE OF LODGE CORNER...AFFECTING
JEFFERSON AND ARKANSAS COUNTIES. IN JEFFERSON
COUNTY...NUMEROUS TREES WERE BLOWN DOWN. GRAIN BINS WERE
DESTROYED...AND THERE WAS DAMAGE TO METAL BUILDINGS AND
OVERTURNED FARM MACHINERY. IN ARKANSAS COUNTY...NUMEROUS
TREES WERE BLOWN DOWN...AND TWO MOBILE HOMES WERE
DAMAGED.

THE EF2 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN 5.5 MILES WNW OF DE
WITT...AND CONTINUED 14.4 MILES TO NEAR CROCKETTS BLUFF.
THIS TORNADO REMAINED IN ARKANSAS COUNTY...WITH FOUR
STEEL TRANSMISSION TOWERS BLOWN DOWN...AND THERE WAS
DAMAGE TO A FEW FARM OUTBUILDINGS. NUMEROUS TREES WERE
BLOWN DOWN...AND A TRAVEL TRAILER WAS BLOWN OVER. AN
ELEVATOR WAS BLOWN OFF OF GRAIN BINS.

01/22/2012 F1 ARKANSAS AR NWS STORM SURVEY

AN EF1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN 8.2 MILES SOUTH OF DE
WITT...AND CONTINUED 9.4 MILES TO 3 MILES SE OF DE WITT.
THIS TORNADO REMAINED IN ARKANSAS COUNTY...WITH
TREES...POWER LINES AND POWER POLES BLOWN DOWN. SEVERAL
CARPORTS AND SHEDS WERE BLOWN AWAY. A LARGE LIMB FELL ON
THE CAB OF A PICKUP TRUCK. A HOUSE HAD THE WINDOWS BLOWN
OUT AND PIECES OF WOOD WEDGED INTO THE SIDGING. A MOBILE
HOME WAS DESTROYED. A METAL BUILDING WAS DESTROYED...AND
A ROOF WAS BLOWN OFF OF A TRACTOR SHED.

0859 PM TORNADO 4 S RAGTOWN 34.48N 91.10W
01/22/2012 F1 MONROE AR NWS STORM SURVEY

TORNADO STARTED 4 MILES SOUTH OF RAGTOWN AND ENDED 3.2
MILES EAST OF RAGTOWN AT THE COUNTY BORDER. THE TOTAL
PATH LENGTH OF THE STORM WAS 5.8 MILES AND WAS RATED AN
EF1. DAMAGE FOUND INCLUDED BLOWN DOWN TREES AND POWER
LINES. AN IRRIGATION PIVOT WAS FLIPPED OVER AND A LARGE
STORAGE SHED WAS TOSSED OVER A FARM BUILDING.
