AS THE SRN PORTION OF A POSITIVELY-TILTED TROUGH /EXTENDING FROM NM
NEWD INTO ONTARIO/ MERGES WITH A SHORTWAVE TROUGH MOVING EWD ACROSS
NRN MEXICO. THIS CLOSED LOW WILL THEN PROGRESS NEWD ACROSS THE TX
PANHANDLE...WRN OK...AND INTO ERN KS. LIFT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS
UPPER LOW WILL BRING COLD RAIN AND SOME WINTER PRECIPITATION FROM W
TX EWD INTO CNTRL TX. DESPITE THIS LIFT...A STABLE SFC LAYER AND
WARM 700 MB TEMPERATURES WILL LIMIT ANY INSTABILITY AND NO TSTMS ARE
EXPECTED.
COOL AND DRY CONDITIONS BENEATH AN EXPANSIVE SFC HIGH WILL PRECLUDE
ANY TSTM ACTIVITY ELSEWHERE.
