AN EF1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN OFF OF CHAPMAN DRIVE AND
SNAPPED OR UPROOTED HUNDREDS OF SOFTWOOD AND HARDWOOD
TREES AS IT MOVED NORTHEAST. THE PATH WAS UP TO 2 MILES
LONG AND 300 YARDS WIDE WITH MAX WIND SPEEDS OF 90 MPH.
THE SUPERCELL STORM MOVED INTO FANNIN COUNTY.

*** 1 INJ *** A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN THE SUGAR CREEK
AREA AND MOVED NORTHEAST BEFORE LIFTING IN THE HOTHOUSE
VALLEY AREA. THE EF1 TORNADO WITH MAX WIND SPEEDS UP TO
90 MPH CAUSED HUNDREDS OF TREES TO BE SNAPPED OR
UPROOTED. UP TO 100 POWER POLES WERE EITHER SNAPPED OR
DAMAGED. THIRTY STRUCTURES WERE DAMAGED MAINLY DUE TO
FALLING TREES. THE PATH WAS 8.7 MILES LONG AND UP TO 1/2
MILE WIDE...BUT MAINLY 300 TO 400 YARDS WIDE.
