THUNDERSTORM WINDS SNAPPED 7 POWER POLES JUST OUTSIDE OF
OATMAN ON ROUTE 66. A LARGE SHIPPING STORAGE CONTAINER
WAS FLIPPED OVER. IN ADDITION...POWER WAS KNOCKED OUT TO
ALL OF OATMAN FOR 18 HOURS.

THE GENERAL STORE IN OATMAN WAS INUNDATED WITH WATER FROM
FLASH FLOODING.

A POWER LINE WAS KNOCKED DOWN IN MOHAVE VALLEY BY
THUNDERSTORM WINDS.

HAIL OF AT LEAST PEA SIZE BRIEFLY FELL IN OATMAN.
0400 PM EXCESSIVE HEAT OATMAN 35.03N 114.38W
07/01/2013 E112 F MOHAVE AZ FIRE DEPT/RESCUE
*** 1 INJ *** A THUNDERSTORM KNOCKED OUT POWER TO ALL OF
OATMAN FOR 18 HOURS RESULTING IN A COOLING STATION BEING
OPENED. HOWEVER THE HEAT WAS ENOUGH FOR ONE PERSON TO BE
TREATED FOR HEAT-RELATED INJURIES. ONE DOG ALSO DIED DUE
TO THE HEAT.

DELAYED REPORTS. OATMAN AND MOHAVE VALLEY EVENTS ARE AN ESTIMATED
TIME.
