FLASH FLOOD AND DEBRIS FLOW FROM IMUS CREEK NEAR THE
STEHEKIN LANDING COVERED APPROXIMATELY 350 LINEAR FEET OF
STEHEKIN VALLEY ROAD IN MUD AND DEBRIS, AS MUCH AS 8 FEET
DEEP IN SPOTS. SEVERAL VEHICLES AND BICYCLES IN THE
PARKING AREA NEARBY WERE DAMAGED AND/OR PUSHED INTO THE
LAKE.AN OFFICE AND A RESIDENCE BUILDING WERE SURROUNDED
BY MUD AND DEBRIS BUT ONLY RECEIVED MINIMAL INTERIOR
FLOOD DAMAGE.

DURING STORM SURVEY, NOTED ROAD HAD BEEN COVERED BY WATER
AND MUD FROM PREVIOUS NIGHTS STORM. MUD COVERED ROAD FOR
APPROXIMATELY 100-150 YARDS AND APPEARED TO BE DEEP IN
SECTIONS. NO REPORTS FROM MEDIA OR LAW ENFORCEMENT BUT
ROAD WAS LIKELY IMPASSABLE FOR SOME TIME. TIME ESTIMATED
BY RADAR.
