AS FLAT UPPER-LEVEL RIDGE MOVES THROUGH THE CNTRL AND NRN PLAINS. AT
THE SFC...A LARGE HIGH WILL MOVE SLOWLY EWD ACROSS THE MID MS VALLEY
AS A COLD FRONT ADVANCES SWD ACROSS NRN AND CNTRL FL. THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE FRONT TONIGHT IN
CNTRL AND SRN FL. FURTHER TO THE WEST ACROSS SOUTH TX AND IN THE RIO
GRANDE VALLEY...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING ON THE NRN
EDGE OF A CORRIDOR OF LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AHEAD OF A SHORTWAVE TROUGH
MOVING INTO WEST TX EVIDENT ON WATER VAPOR IMAGERY. ENOUGH
INSTABILITY MAY EXIST ACROSS SCNTRL TX FOR A THREAT FOR SMALL HAIL
BUT ORGANIZED CONVECTION IS NOT EXPECTED THIS EVENING. THE STORMS IN
SCNTRL TX SHOULD NOT LAST MORE AN HOUR OR TWO DUE TO A LACK OF FOCUS
IN LOW-LEVEL CONVERGENCE AND RELATIVELY WEAK INSTABILITY.
