TODAY...THOUGH ANY RISK FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN OFFSHORE OVER
THE FL STRAITS AND ATLANTIC. SOME RISK FOR ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE PAC NW COAST...WHERE STEEP LOW-MIDLEVEL
LAPSE RATES /AOA 7 C PER KM/ ARE PRESENT ON THE CYCLONIC SIDE OF A
90+ KT MIDLEVEL JET. THE MORE PROBABLE TIME FOR A FEW LIGHTNING
STRIKES WILL BE THIS EVENING ALONG THE WA COAST...AS A REGION OF
ASCENT SPREADS INLAND IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE LEFT EXIT REGION OF
MID-UPPER THE JET.
