THE MEDIUM RANGE MODELS BEGIN THE DAY 4 TO 8 PERIOD WITH AN
UPPER-LEVEL LOW OVER THE OH AND TN VALLEYS ON THURSDAY/DAY 4. THE
MODELS RETROGRADE THE LOW WWD INTO THE MID-MS VALLEY ON FRIDAY/DAY 5
AND THEN ACCELERATE THE WEAKENING SYSTEM EWD ACROSS THE APPALACHIAN
MTNS FROM SATURDAY/DAY 6 INTO SUNDAY/DAY 7. THIS WEATHER PATTERN
SHOULD LOCK LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE IN PLACE ACROSS THE IMMEDIATE GULF
COAST AND COASTAL AREAS OF GA...SC AND NC WHERE THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY MAY OCCUR PERIODICALLY LATE THIS WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND. THE
WEATHER PATTERN SHOULD KEEP THE STRONGEST INSTABILITY OFFSHORE AND
IS NOT EXPECTED TO SUPPORT AN ENHANCED SEVERE THREAT DURING THE DAY
4 TO 8 PERIOD.
